Deck ledger connections are a persistent problem in homes where decks were added after original construction, sometimes without permits or proper flashing. Radon is a colorless, odorless radioactive gas that enters buildings through foundation cracks, utility penetrations, and slab joints. Individual homes vary, which is precisely the point. The only way to know what’s happening in a specific house is to test it.
